Wide Awake!

Inspirational Planters
I woke up about four and lay there for about two minutes and thought to myself, Lynda you have loads to do, so here i am! I was drawing, still resolving my 1:500's!!(told you i had loads to do)  The Beetle top right made me think of my lovely, reliable, hard working Citroen Berlingo, which a little old lady wrote off for me at the end of January. When Uni was over  i was contemplating cutting the roof off my old car, removing the engine etc and using it as a planter in my garden, when i move. Oh, well, it was a lovely thought. They look good don't they? I found all the images when i 'googled' band stands lol

Mondays crit

I Cannot believe we only have one crit left! No excuses for Mondays crit so i'm not going to make any. Thank goodness for my models, i had a lot of fun making them. Here are a couple of my 1:200 models from differing angles  i'm not even going to tell you how long it took to make 27no Trachycarpus Fortuneii or Chusan palm  I realized allot about myself. I also designed my Bexhill site in Sketch up, it looks just like the model, weird lol.
So i took a sneaky hour and sat in the sun in the garden, with some sketching i might add and a camera. the shadows on the model bring it to life, all it needs is some people walking through it, sitting on the beach and swimming etc not long now!

Planting palette

Some of the Proposed Planting for Bexhill-Cabana
Mt tutorial went well on Friday, i was worried as i'm still behind with my work, Julia said, Lynda, everyone's behind! Which is reassuring but worrying at the same time. I only have 40 Genus of plants. I'm going to plant them in blocks of 9's and 11's as my raised beds areas are vast. I'll probably need more than that.  I  still need to work out the area then i will have a much better idea, anyway, i'm waffling! It's late. Another Monday is almost upon us, i'm feeling a lot more positive than this time last week!!
My daughter Melanie got engaged today, the only problem with that is she lives in Sheffield and i wont get to see her ring or give them both a hug! I am happy!

The Digital Exhibition with Shelley is a lot of fun! A lot of really good ideas at the presentation last Monday. We had to find an object or a collection of objects that we found aesthetically pleasing or inspiring. We had to write a critical analysis of our object/s in my case it was my books. (I really could do with a bigger book shelf as they don't all fit on the same shelf anymore.)  We had to focus on the aesthetics, colour, texture, size use of materials etc. We had to look subjectively as well as objectively and say what links them together, we had to illustrate our points and then present them to the class.
Next week we are presenting the 'This is me Branding' I  had trouble as usual trying to decide. Do i go with the 'Romantic' look, pretty, frilly, flowery, cute etc or the more modern and professional look? You'll be really pleased to know (Jamie) I went with the lattter. Using straight lines in Primary colours reflecting the Bauhaus, Modernist style which  looks a lot  more aesthetically pleasing. I'll blog it on Tuesday. I have to go and get on with the master planning now, it's raining outside, the heating's on, the radio's turned up loud and i have SO much to do....

Professional Studies

Professional Studies, Thank goodness the group project's nearly over! Stress levels hit the roof.
The document's all done, just the presentation to do now.
Greg McErlean who was the project manager of the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain from The Royal Parks sent us this cartoon, Wish we could have used it in our document but it's not relevant, shame!
